So today was a pretty intense day. And by intense I mean really intense. Intense like a hotter version of the sun.
And so the day, like every day, started at 12 AM. At that time a bunch of us were playing Super Smash Brothers Melee in Blaise and Rlyan’s room. They have a big TV. I was trying to prettify sarupanda just incase I needed something to show my to-be employers. So everyone was just playing Super Smash Brothers and enjoying themselves. Then we played Guitar Hero until three in the morning.
So that wasn’t as intense as I said. I could easily lie to make the story more interesting, but I’ll save that for another time.
I lucked out because of the holiday on Monday. The lack of school on Monday caused a lack of Biology lab on Monday, thus causing my Friday Biology lab to be cancelled as well. This allowed for me to stay up late and sleep until 11 because I had no lab to go to. So my plan to play video games until late was a success and I was sure that the second phase of my plan would go perfectly. There was, however, an anomaly in the waking up part of my plan. You see, I have this beautiful Asuka wallscroll hanging next to my bed. It’s probably the best wallscroll ever made. ever. Anyway, I awoke that morning to find that I was sleeping ON my Asuka wallscroll. I find it hard to believe that something hanging on a wall can end up under me while I sleep. I really thought I was going crazy because things like Asuka wallscrolls don’t just end up underneath you while you sleep. I suspect foul play.
Anyway, I talked to my roommate later that day (who nodoubtedly saw me sleeping on a picture of an anime girl that morning) and said that it was windy that night and it probably blew off the wall onto my bed. I guess I can buy that story for now. I must find out the truth.
And so I went to school and had a blast. Biology 101 is seriously the greatest class I’ve ever taken. I often find myself absorbed in the material so much that I can hardly wait to hear the next word out of the professor’s mouth. But seriously, I often go on wireless internet during class and play around in Adobe Illustrator. Today I attempted to draw a kitty. Things just didn’t turn out the way they should have. One thing that I actually did like in class today was that someone made a really clever joke. Today’s lesson was on population and the first slide was a picture of military men. Someone behind me said “It would be funny if the professor said, ‘Welcome to marine biology.’” I thought it was funny. I have the picture to prove it too. Seriously.
After that we ate lunch and came back to the dorm to play some Smash Bros again. Then I took a nap before work.
By the way, I applied for work at Toys n Joys as a webmaster so today was my first day of training. I’ve always liked Toys n Joys so it makes me happy that I am able to work there now. My trainer was really nice and she really understands what she’s doing and how tedious the job is. I learned some new things and about how their system works. I really like the work environment because the people there talk about things that interest me. Things like 10 inch Eevee plushies and old Dreamcast games. I think I could get used to working there. The job isn’t difficult, but it is very tedious. Three hours of doing work for their website and I only got two pages edited. At least I got to look at Haruhi pictures for like half an hour. It was work related. I could really get used to working there.
And so my day of work ended and I returned to the dorm. THEN THE ADVENTURE STARTED.
The adventure to the bus stop wasn’t so exciting. The plan was to go see the movie The Covenant at Ward with some of the guys from the dorm. The bus costs $2 for college students, yet if you are a 19 year old high school student it only costs $1. That makes my cry on the inside. That makes me cry hard.
We arrived at Ward and watched our movie. The movie I will fully review later. And as we watched the movie, the climax approached. AND RIGHT AT THE CLIMAX OF THE MOVIE, the screen goes black. and the lights turn on. I dont know about everyone else, but I dont really like it when the screen stops showing the movie when it should be showing a movie. Especially if I paid for the movie. Then the fire alarm starts.
So its pure chaos. People are screaming left and right, babies are being thrown out windows, and old men are fighting to get out first. Okay, that didn’t happen, but people were pretty mad. There are pictures of it too, which will all come in good time. Apparently next door had a fire alarm so ours went off as well. We waited about 20 or 25 minutes to watch five minutes of the end of the movie. Five minutes that I will never get back.
After the movie we walked around doing random acts of mischief. Mischief like putting light bulbs where cigarettes go, flipping magazines upside down and riding up escalators over and over. After we had fun and were tired of lying in the crosswalk during red lights, we caught a van cab back. The driver was a good man. He deserves some kind of certificate or recognition of some sort. That’s just the kind of feeling I got from him.
And so ended the day while we were waiting for the movie to come back on.
Summary: played video games, went to work, movie paused by false alarm, bad movie.
Well that was actually pretty boring. Not intense at all. False advertising. Sorry.
